Assistant Director - Residential Foster Home
Live where you lead and help transform the lives of six teenage boys through mentorship, adventure, international sailing expeditions, and a family-style residential program
Assistant Program Director
About Pinellas Point Home
We are a purposefully disruptive nonprofit serving youth impacted by foster care, economic instability, and systemic inequity through residential care, private education, workforce development, and international sailing expeditions.
Our residential model is built around relationships, consistency, accountability, and meaningful experiences. We believe young people thrive when they are surrounded by adults who show up, hold high expectations, and create opportunities for them to experience success.
Assistant Program Director
The Assistant Program Director (APD) is a hands-on residential leader responsible for the culture, consistency, and quality of care within one of SailFuture’s family-style foster homes serving six teenage boys.
The APD leads a team of Residential Youth Counselors and works closely with mental health, education, and program leadership to create a stable, engaging home environment where youth can build relationships, develop independence, and make meaningful progress toward their goals.
This is not a traditional administrative leadership position. The APD is deeply involved in the daily life of the home: sharing meals, navigating challenges, celebrating milestones, supporting school and employment goals, leading adventures, and helping young people develop the skills necessary for adulthood.
SailFuture's residential program extends well beyond the home. Youth participate in year-round education, career development, and extended international sailing expeditions. The APD helps connect these experiences into a consistent, individualized approach for each young person.
