Hospitality Instructor
About the SailFuture Academy
SailFuture Academy is a purposefully disruptive, non-profit private high school in St. Petersburg, Florida, serving youth who have faced significant challenges.
As a nonprofit organization, we are reimagining education to empower students with the character, skills, and real-world experiences they need to achieve economic freedom and social mobility.
Hospitality Instructor
The ideal Hospitality Instructor is an experienced professional with strong front of house and back of house experience. The ideal candidate will be as passionate about food as they are about service. Their colleagues in the kitchen or dining room would call them a mentor and coach. Previous teaching experience is not a prerequisite.
The Hospitality Instructor will design learning experiences that challenge students to think critically, solve problems, work collaboratively, and produce work they are proud of.
Over a 3-year curriculum, the hospitality instructor will prepare 8-10th grade students for internships and externships at local hospitality businesses in their 11th and 12th grade years.
