A SailFuture Academy Educator has a unique opportunity to utilize real-world curriculum to teach students the skills, character, and knowledge necessary to navigate their life and career successfully.
Pathways Discipline
The SailFuture Academy pathways discipline bridges the gap between high school and post-graduation by providing the skills, training, and exposure needed to support a successful transition towards independence.
This discipline guides students through a multi-year process of personal discovery, career exploration, and postsecondary planning. From eighth to eleventh grade, students identify their strengths, values, and goals; investigate industries, technical trades, military options, apprenticeships, and higher education; and learn to align their interests with real-world opportunities.
Through reflective projects, career portfolios, and personal capstones, students develop a clear, actionable plan for independence and success after graduation.
