A SailFuture Academy Educator has a unique opportunity to utilize real-world curriculum to teach students the skills, character, and knowledge necessary to navigate their life and career successfully.
Pathways Program
The SailFuture Pathways Program bridges the gap between High School and careers, providing the skills, training, exposure to local employers, internships, pre-apprenticeships, and post-graduate support for students from historically underserved communities and families while attaining their High School Diploma and offers direct pathways to Apprenticeship programs or employment upon graduation. We empower students to shape their identities, enhance their self-efficacy, and cultivate our youth's career readiness.
Our unique curriculum spans 4 phases for our students' 4-year high school experience, moving through the Foundational, Exploratory, Specialization, and Mastery phases before graduation. Students graduate with the basics of starting and operating a small business. The entrepreneurial-focused curriculum covers topics such as developing a business plan, market research, financing, marketing, and sales. Participants are also taught critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as how to innovate and take risks. The training is designed to help students develop an entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on creativity, innovation, and business acumen.
