Overview:
SailFuture provides dependency case management services to high-risk teenagers in Pinellas County. We meet our teens where they are at and guide them through the foster care system with a deep compassion and thoughtful and consistent approach to parenting and conflict management.
The clinical supervisor will oversee mental health services and behavior intervention plans for 50 high-risk teenagers in Pinellas County. This position is actively involved in all aspects of the delivery of services, including providing individual therapy to the hardest to reach youth in our care.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting youth in foster care, proven crisis management experience, and an innovative and forward-thinking approach to mental health service delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure that therapeutic services are adventure and/or experience-based
- Lead and design sailing-based therapeutic interventions
- Develop and revise targeted behavior plans for all high risk youth
- Ensure the successful implementation of each youth’s targeted behavior plan
- Provide leadership and direction to 10 Behavior specialists and 2 Case Management Supervisors
- Respond to placement and community crises
- Provide individual therapy to up to 10 youth
- Manage and supervise a licensed mental health counselor with a caseload of 20 youth
- Ensure proper documentation from all staff
- Work in collaboration with SailFuture’s business manager to ensure timely medicaid billing for services provided
- Provide training to SailFuture staff
- Provide weekly supervision to mental health counseling interns and practitioners
- Manage clinical files for all clients
- Provide training and support to our youth’s caregivers and parents
- Share on call rotation with Program Director
- Participate in all leadership meetings
- Other responsibilities as determined by the Program Director
Qualifications:
- Registered Florida Medicaid Provider
- LMHC or LCSW
- Qualified Mental Health Counseling Supervisor
- Demonstrated passion and experience providing adventure and/or reality therapy
- Strong understanding of Florida’s child welfare system
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
- Passion for adventure
- Excellent communicator and problem solver
Compensation:
- $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience
