Director of Foster Care Wraparound Services

Our Director of Wraparound Services is at the helm of a highly specific program combining 16 professional staff and $1M in annual resources.

Our mission is clear and focused on depth: Fundamentally alter the life trajectories of 50 high-risk youth in foster care.

As part of the wraparound model the Director oversees three integrated programs:

  • Foster Care Case Management 
  • Day-time Life Skills Center
  • Professional Foster Parent Program

The Director works with the Case Management Operations Manager to oversee (7) Case Managers and (3) Family Support Workers who provide wraparound services to our 50 youth.

The Director works with the Life Skills Center Manager to oversee (3) Youth Specialists who provide daytime supervision and life skills training to our 50 youth.

Finally, the Director is responsible for recruiting and licensing 4 professional foster parents to provide homes for up to 8 SailFuture youth.

SailFuture has carefully assembled the resources and platform to disrupt and redesign foster care services. In this ad, we are seeking a leader to integrate the key pieces into an integrated model that empowers our 50 teens with the support and resources needed to successfully transition into adulthood.

Responsibilities

Daily

  • Inspire and remind all staff of their WHY and SailFuture’s mission
  • Be present at both CMO office and Life Skills Center
  • Provide oversight and support to case managers on all critical-need cases
  • Monitor Slack updates on all cases
  • Monitor Progress notes for quality and consistency
  • Communicate priorities with Case Management Operations Manager and Life Skills Center Manager
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise

Weekly

  • Lead bi-weekly team meeting for both Life Skills Center and Case Management Team
  • Meet 3x per week with Life Skills Center Manager and Case Management Operations Manager
  • Bi-weekly 1:1’s with all Case Managers

Monthly / Quarterly

  • Complete Case Supervision on all 50 case management cases (every 45 days)
  • Plan and organize bi-monthly team building activities for LSC and CMO
  • Performance reviews with all staff (12 total)
  • Quarterly 1-day retreat with all staff

As Needed:

  • Recruit, hire, and train staff for the Life Skills Center, Case Management, TCM, and Professional Parenting Programs
  • Develop effective training materials 
  • Review Notion profiles and Progress Notes for all CMO Cases accuracy (bi-weekly)
  • Attend judicial reviews as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5 years management and leadership experience
  • 5 years foster care / case management experience
  • Experience working with high-risk youth, specifically teenagers
  • Dynamic personality that inspires the people around them
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Technologically savvy 

Compensation:

Total Salary: $70,000

  • $55,000 Base with up to $15,000 in performance funding
  • 401k: Up to 6% Match
  • Health: $3,000 contribution per year
  • Mileage reimbursed at .45 / mile

1-Year Performance Funding Metrics

  • Recruit, license, and support (4) professional foster parent homes for high-risk teens under SailFuture’s case management supervision. 
  • Recruit, train, and integrate (2) Targeted Case Managers
  • Design and roll out a comprehensive life skills curriculum embedded into the Life Skills Center
  • Design and roll out a behavior modification system utilized by all departments - foster parents, case managers, mental health counselors, and youth specialists
  • Meet staff retention objectives
  • Meet youth success objectives
